The event

Industry 4.0 is not just a story about robots, software or databases. It is a story of change: from low-paid hard work to high-performance automation. It is about production efficiency, flexibility and adaptability and all the opportunities digital innovation brings to companies to climb the next level in their development.
The position of Bulgaria in this global trend is still uncertain. On the surface, the country ranks 27th out of 28 countries in terms of digital technology penetration in the economy and society, but less than one in ten companies are assumed as "highly digitilized" business.
At the same time, we are witnessing a rapidly growing industrial infrastructure and specialization in key industries such as IT and automotive production.
2019 will be an important year for the industrial sector in the country. Even if it does not win the race for the new Volkswagen mega factory, Bulgaria will gain valuable experience and will increase its chances of attracting a big automotive manufacturing plant in the foreseeable future.

Along with the automobile industry, the potential for replicating the success with the industrial zone in Plovdiv remains enormous.
The Event
The Fourth Annual Forum Industry 4.0 purpose is to show good practices, as well as the opportunities for partnership between business, government and municipalities, to attract new high-tech investors and increase the industrial capacity of our economy.

Why Attend
