The event

The year 2020 turns out to be challenging for the whole world and the retail sector is not an exception.  What will be the “new normal”? Can we expect a long-term e-commerce shift? How to reconnect and communicate with our customers and adapt to their new tastes and expectations? Can we use this crisis to gain loyal clients and discover new business models? How to optimise and reinvent the supply chain? What lessons can we learn? How the use of technologies can be beneficial not only in crisis situations?

Capital is organizing the Ecommerce and Retail Summit, carrying the tradition of the previous successful formats of the Retail in Detail and the Strategies for Ecommerce Success conferences . We are following our mission to share quality content for the business community and create space for exchanging ideas and peer to peer networking. 

The subtitle “Restart, Reconnect, Rechain” shows the main focus of the event on how the retail sector needs to adapt and change not only to face the new realities but to go up to the next level.

  • Prof. Jorij Abraham

    Prof. Jorij Abraham Managing Director Ecommerce Foundation

    Jorij Abraham has been part of the international eCommerce community since 1997. He has been manager e-commerce at Bijenkorf (an upmarket department store chain), TUI (Europe’s largest travel organization), online publisher at Sanoma Media (the largest media company in the Benelux) and Director of Consulting at Unic (an Europe wide e-commerce strategy & implementation firm). In parallel to these activities he (fellow) founded two companies, eVentures Europe and vZine. From 2013 & 2017 he has been Director of Research & Advise at Thuiswinkel.org (the Dutch Ecommerce Association) and Ecommerce Europe (the European Ecommerce Association with 25.000+ members in 20 countries). He now is Managing Director of the Ecommerce Foundation, whose mission is to foster global digital trade. He is also e-commerce professor at the University of Applied Sciences, TIO.

    Chryssa Asmatzi is currently Nielsen’s Category Management Leader and Regional Trainer for Eastern Europe, delivering a series of training workshops with an integrated perspective that combines manufacturing, retail, e-commerce and analytics . She has more than 25 years of experience in Retail, with expertise in all facets of marketing, branding, communications, business development, E-commerce and Financial Services, 7 of which in Category Management for key retailers in Greece, i.e. Carrefour Marinopoulos, Makro Cash & Carry, etc. She has served as CEO in Carrefour Credit, E-commerce and Digital Marketing Director for Bazaar S.A. Greece and Category Management and Marketing Director for Metro Cash & Carry Greece and the Mart Cash & Carry Greece. She is specialized in strategic planning and analysis, shopper marketing, customer insights, digital marketing and has a passion for e-business and innovative communications strategy development. Chryssa holds a BSc in Computer Information Systems, an MBA in International Finance (University of Stirling Scotland), a MSc in Digital Marketing (Digital Marketing Institute Ireland and CIM) and various Degrees in Business (ALBA and Metro AG House of Learning), Marketing (Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK) and Digital Marketing (Athens University)

    Milena Dragijska is in charge of the management of Lidl Bulgaria since its establishment in 2007. She started her career at Lidl in 2002 as regional sales manager for the regions of Stuttgart and Karlsruhe. She continued her career in the Lild headquarter working in different international projects for Lidl International. She is a board member of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
