The event

For a sixth year in a row Capital organizes a conference dedicated to the water sector and related processes and business models. The event is well recognized as a traditional platform for professionals from Bulgaria and the region at which up-to-date trends are presented.

The focus of the conference this year will be the significance of the water resource on industry and the impact of water-related policies. We will review a number of sectors and their various water-consumption patterns. The delicate balance between the needs of the local communities, the necessities of the industry and the specific factors of the environment will be analyzed. We will present the increasing importance of water and water-supply-and-sanitation (WSS) services for the industry – the growing need of taking care for water, the new business models, parallels between water and energy management, technological and business solutions.

    Madlena Vladimirova graduated the University Degree Business Administration University of World and National Economics, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1997, consequently she continued her education and accomplished a Postgraduate Degree Master of European Studies, Europa-Kolleg Hamburg, Germany - interdisciplinary study in Economics, European Law and European Policies Madlena is since 2005 a consultant for EU funding Programmes, elaboration of projects proposal for grant funding by EC and other international donors as well as consultant and Business Development Manager of projects in the field of real estate, rural and agricultural projects related to foreign direct investments in Bulgaria; surveillance and current status analysis of the macro-framework of the Bulgarian economic and legal environment. Madlena has numerous publications in the field of EU accession of Bulgaria - analytical reviews of the membership requirements before and after the EU accession of Bulgaria; development and progress of Bulgaria in the framework of the Common Agricultural Policy Madlena is since 2014 Market Director for Bulgaria of Green Business Norway - a professional organization acting on behalf of enterprises in the Environmental Energy & Technology sector aiming to contribute to innovation, co-operation and project development on behalf of its members representing the Norwegian CleanTech Industry. Related to her position as a Market Director for Green Business Norway Madlena has gathered considerable experience in the in the field of waste and waste water treatment in terms of modern, integrated and sustainable waste collection and treatment systems; Improved waste collection approaches with a special focus on treatment of biowaste and utilization of RDF; Related to her activity she is intensively involved in development of concepts, which facilitate the implementation of circular economy and industrial symbiosis in SMEs.
  • Jarl Spandow

    Jarl Spandow Multivector Group

    Jarl Spandow is a Swidish citizen and an MBA graduate from the Norwegian School of Management with a Focus on Strategy and Leadership, he is as well MSc. In International Business Management from the School of Economics and Business Administration at Gothenburg University. Since the beginning of 2017 he is the CEO of the Multivector Group - a Norwegian company that develops and offers to the market technology solutions for treatment of organic waste, including sludge treatment. In 2014 he became member of the board and investor in Multivector AS. As a Member of the Board and Investor he used to work closely with the management in the early stage of the company development in leveraging patents for creating a leadership in mixing and drying technologies for selected market segments. During 2015 he was assigned a CEO of the Italian FBA Srl. to develop a strategic business plan, and initiated a complete re-organization and financial re-structuring of the whole company. Between 2007 -2013 he was CEO and Investor at ePocket Solutions AS, Norway where he succeeded to turn this Norwegian mobile software company into a European leader in Mobile Service Management Software Systems, establishing subsidiaries in Sweden and Germany and acquiring a Danish competitor company. Between 2002 –- 2012 he was a board member and investor at Brage Invest AS, Norway, an investment company with some 50M€ in equity doing investments in listed stocks and bonds, real estate projects, private equity and venture capital projects. He is fluent in Norwegian, Danish, English and German languages, Swinish is his mother language.
  • Momchil Jivkov

    Momchil Jivkov Partner, Eurolex

    Ever since his graduation Momchil Jivkov has worked for one of the largest law office in Bulgaria - Andrey Delchev&Partners – Eurolex Bulgaria. Since 2001 Mr. Jivkov has been heavily involved as a legal expert in a number of international infrastructure projects, mainly in the utilities and transport sector.
    Mr. Jivkov is a very experienced drafter of regulations and contracts. He has participated in preparation of tens of legislation amendments and has been among the drafters of several pieces of brand new Bulgarian legislation, including the Ordinance on Regulation of the Quality of Water Supply and Sanitation (WSS) Services; Ordinance on Regulation of the Prices of the WSS Services; Regulation on the Organization and Activity of the Water and Sewage Service Associations; Climate Change Mitigation Act; Ordinance on the Structure and Activity of the National Trust Ecofund, etc.. He has also participated in a consultancy team which developed the model services contract with the Bulgarian public WSS operators and has worked under a similar project in Belarus.
    His practice include work for both public and private, local and foreign clients, including international financial institutions such as World Bank, EBRD, USAID, JBIC, etc. 
  • Goran Milanov

    Goran Milanov Deputy Chairman of the European Facility Management Association and Member of BGFMA

    Goran Milanov is Civil Engineer and has 20 years of experience in design, construction and FM related projects. Being on a management positions in Nemetschek AG, Germany, Nemetschek Bulgaria, CenterMine UK, he actively works for positioning FM as a process oriented discipline, focused on the sustainable business results of the organizations. Today he is managing FM  company VIDAKO offering strategic FM consultancy and project management. Goran is one of the founders and former  Chairman of Bulgarian Facility Management Association. Since November 2014 he is Vice Chairman of EuroFM.
  • Lovorka Kekez

    Lovorka Kekez Country Environmental Manager, Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria

    Lovorka Kekez is a member of the Coca-Cola HBC Sustainability Team for Bulgaria, holding a position as Country Environmental Manager.
    As such, she manages the use of resources within the organisation by developing and implementing a number of strategies and action plans to achieve the Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria 2020 environmental objectives. Mrs. Kekez is also responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the company's environmental strategies, policies and programs which promote sustainable development.
    Lovorka Kekez is also responsible for the identification and introduction of improvements in the activities of the organization, in order to ensure compliance with environmental legislation at local and international level.
    Lovorka Kekez is a graduate of the University of Marine Sciences in Split, Croatia, with a Master Degree in Marine Biology and Ecology, and from the Department of Sciences and Environmental Policies of the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary, Mrs. Kekez also holds a Master degree in Sciences and Environmental Policies.
    Prior to joining the team of Coca-Cola HBC Bulgaria, Lovorka Kekez was an observer under the ICCAT Programme for Regional Tuna Observers at the COFRE PECHE fishing company. She is also experienced in her work with the European Parliament and the University of Split, where she was an assistant professor at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
