Why Fintech

The financial industry faces the challenge to innovate at its fastest pace ever, mostly due to the growth of fintech and the changes in consumer behavior and preferences. The pressure to innovate has driven financial companies to move many aspects of their business to the next level in order to stay relevant and top-of-mind. However, any type of change requires not only implementing new technologies but also a profound change in the mindset. The first annual FinTech Conference will present how Fintech will reshape the future of financial services in the region.

Why Sofia

Sofia is one of the top 3 FinTech destinations in CEE with a critical mass of financial, technological and startup players, who are actively engaged in a positive competition.
Two more ingredients are needed for this critical mass to turn into a more productive ecosystem - practical content generation vehicles (Sophia Lab being the leading example) and a regular forum to meet, share and engage.
The FinTech Summit’s team is committed to build and maintain this forum, together with all the other members of the FinTech ecosystem.

Topics in the agenda:
- FinTech: Market Expectations and Practical Trends
- Domestic challenges towards a performing Fintech scene
- Successful Ecosystems and Benchmarks
- Building Bridges and Opportunities  for Sofia to become a regional FinTech hub
